Zentangle Project Inspirations!

Hi friends! Happy Monday! Today I wanted to share a little Pinterest roundup of things you can use your Zentangle skills on! I thought this would fit in well with the start of our new Zentangle for Beginners series, and thought maybe some project inspirations were in order so you’d have an idea of how to apply your new Zentangle skill set.  So let’s get into it! As always, click on the pictures to be taken to their sources, enjoy!

Jewelry

There’s many ways to incorporate doodles into your own jewelry.  The following tutorial uses Shrinky Dink paper to create doodle hearts that make up this cute bracelet.  You can see the full instructions by clicking the picture.

The following project ideas are from Etsy shops, and while the actual items in the photos are already sold, you can probably find something similar by visiting the artist’s store, or just use these pictures as inspiration for your own works.  You can click on the links to visit the Etsy stores.

Mixed Media Art

An of course, my favorite way to use doodling is to mix it into your other artworks! I’m starting to incorporate my doodles into my other art media and I’m loving the way the fine linework and abstract shapes can contrast the fluid paint and other details in an artwork.  It can really open the doors to creating artworks are your own unique style.

The little bit of doodle added to this watercolour really give it a special look!

So that’s all for now guys! Leave me a comment letting me know how you like to (or are planning to) use doodling in your own works, and till next time, keep creating!
