Pinspiration Monday: Useful Back to School Crafts

Good morning friends, hope your Monday is going well.

I came across some cute back to school crafts, and thought I’d share them with you!  It’s almost that time when the kids are returning to school, and I saw lots of cute back to school crafts all over Pinterest, but these ones stood out to me because not only are they cute and stylish, but they’re actually functional as well.  Who doesn’t love that!?  So without further ado…here we go!

First up is a collection of locker accessories from Sassy Style Design. Here’s an over image of all the crafts you can learn to make using cheap dollar store-type items:

Each item pictured here is basically its own mini craft project.  Here’s my two favourites:

This simple cheap locker mirror is jazzed up with some cute Washi Tape, and magnets are glued to the back of these cute flower erasers. This would be so cute on a locker door.

This pretty pin board is made from a painted thrift store art frame and foam core board. It's like real-life Pinterest, lol.

Why didn’t we think of all this cool crafting stuff when I was in high-school!?  I had a boring black-framed locker mirror, and the only other accessories I had on my locker door were the little pictures I drew and taped up there! (With boring clear tape too, I might add).

Anyway, I’m not bitter.  Moving on, my last DIY back to school craft is from Mer Mag, and it’s cute ideas for your own DIY t-shirts.  You can make them for yourself or for your kiddos, they’re super simple.  She explains that she makes stencils and then paints them in with fabric paint, or you could find those heat-activated transfer sheets and use that too.  It’s really up to you.

This t-shirt is the cutest one, however, and you can find the free downloadable file of the little octopus stencil on her blog, so you can make your own little octopus t-shirt, too!

Isn't it so cute!?

So that’s it for now, guys!  Back to school crafts are all over Pinterest, but I thought these ones were the most functional.  Hope you’ve enjoyed!

Till next time, keep creating!
