Pinspiration Monday: Halloween Drawing Fun with Your Kids!

Hi friends, hope your Monday is treating you well!

So I was browsing around on Pinterest, planning on finding some cool DIY-type home decor inspiration, especially for Halloween or for the fall season or Thanksgiving…when I came across something awesome.

When I was in elementary school, I loved renting drawing books for kids from my school’s library (yes, before this wonderful thing called the Internet existed! Damn I feel old!).  Anyways, these books had simple, step by step instructions about how to draw various things that kids love…puppies, horses, exotic animals, special occasion-related things like pumpkins and reindeer.  I remember being so excited whenever I rented a new one, and busting out my paper and pencils, ready to draw something sweet.

Well, today I found this website, Art For Kids, and it’s essentially the same thing: Step by step art instruction for kids featuring the cool things that kids want to learn to draw! It’s got awesome step-by-step pictures, just like the books I used as kids!

Each new step is in red, while the previous steps are black. Just like in the old kid's drawing books!

In addition to these pictures, there’s also a video showing the entire process.  And a printout of the pictured instructions, like this one:

Every project has a video and a printout of all steps.

So I thought I’d share with you some Halloween-related drawing projects to do with your kids! You can click the pictures to go to the page with the instructions and printouts, and you can watch the videos right here. So here we go!

And finally, how can we do Halloween drawing without a skull?

So that’s it for now, guys! Be sure to visit Art For Kids Hub for more fun kids art projects. When I have kids I can’t wait to do stuff like this with them! 🙂

Till next time, keep creating!
