Pigment + Palette 8th Edition (July 2014) Unboxing & Review!

Hi guys! So as promised here’s the July Pigment+Palette box! I’m super excited to open this after how amazing the June box was. Let’s hurry up and see what’s inside!

This month’s theme is Americana!

The Products:

  • Gamblin Artists Colors FastMatte Alkyd Oil Paint
  • General Pencil Company Layout Pencil
  • Crescent RENDR No Show Thru Paper
  • Dr. Ph Martin’s Bombay India Ink
Here's what was in my Pigment+Palette July box!

And my two fav picks: the RENDR paper because I know how awesome it is and the pencil because I can't wait to try it out!

The Ratings:

Happy Christmas Factor: 7/10 (only because I already own two of the products…the actual products in the box are amazing)
Value Factor: 10/10 Even though we only got 4 items instead of 5 this time, the value of the products are still more than what the box itself costs, so I have to give it a perfect score!

Alright guys so there we go, what are your thoughts on this box?? I’m very satisfied with it, regardless of the fact that I already own two of the items in there, they will most definitely be used, and it saves me a trip to the art store to replenish my supply!

So if you get the monthly P+P box, let me know what colour of ink you received! I’m curious if anyone got a colour I don’t have in my little set! And what colour of oil paint did you get?? I have to take a little trip to the art store now to buy some linseed oil or turpentine so I can play with the oil paint! 🙂 More fodder for my mixed media addictions, hooray!

Thanks for watching guys, see you for the next one!
