Hello artsy friends! Today’s blog post is going to be rather short, I don’t have a whole lot to say other than I wanted to take a few moments to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year! Whether you’ve been reading this blog for a while or are brand new, thanks for taking time out of your day to read here and in doing so supporting my artwork and this blog.
If you’re subscribed to my Studio Notes newsletter, than you’ve already received my thank-you for this wonderful year that’s passed, but I want to take a bit of time now and say something similar on this blog. This past year was a big year for me. I’ve made a lot of strides forward in my business and can really see some new opportunities opening up for me, and it all wouldn’t be possible without you guys who come to read and learn and be inspired by my own little art journey.
I’m by no means an expert, nor do I claim to be, but it truly warms my heart to read your comments about how something I’ve written a post about or demonstrated or filmed a video on has helped you in some way on your own artistic path.
So in that spirit, next year is going to be an even bigger year for this blog and for myself. I will be redesigning the blog with a brand new layout and theme, something that elevates it a bit and displays my newer artworks more prominently. I’ve been really focusing on developing my style and finding who I am as an artist and the types of art that I really want to create, what really brings me joy. So I hope you can bear with me as the inevitable glitches occur as I transition the blog to a new layout/style. I’ll be cleaning up and even deleting some really old, now irrelevant posts, and freshening up still-relevant ones with new images and even replacing some of my super old cringe-worthy videos with fresh, higher quality ones on the same subjects. So the blog posts will be condensed and focused and new and fresh, which will hopefully make it even easier for everyone to find the content they’re looking for, and enjoy it more once they’ve located it.
All of this will start sometime in the new year, so I just wanted to give everyone a little heads up, and to not be alarmed if the website looks a little weird (or even broken – I’ve been know to do that lol!) if you visit it within the next couple months. It’ll all be worked out, and will hopefully be better than ever.
But before that, I’m taking some time to enjoy this holiday season with my family (including my new addition) and simply counting my blessings.
So thank you for this past year, I hope to see you for the new adventures in the coming year, and I wish you and your family some very happy memories this holiday season.
Merry Christmas, and till next time, keep creating!
