Hi friends! Today I wanted to share a few Pinterest resources to help us fight that dreaded Artist’s Block, and stick with our creative New Year’s Resolutions. Maybe your resolution was to draw more in your sketchbook like mine was, or maybe it’s to experiment more in an art journal, or maybe it’s to simply start a simple written journal full of creative ideas and subjects for future works of art. No matter what your creativity goals are this year, the following resources are full of great creative prompts, so let’s get to it! As always, click on the pictures to be taken to their sources. Enjoy!
101 List Prompts for Your Art Journal
This list by artjournalist is full of creativity-inspiring ideas like things on your bucket list, what’s inside your bag list, and your pet peeves list. Having these lists created gives you a huge list of subjects to create art journal pages around!
101 Sketchbook Prompts
This list by Sara Sketches is another list of 101 items, but instead of list ideas, they’re actual subjects to draw in a sketchbook. Print this one out and glue it into the inside cover of your sketchbook so you’ll always have inspiration when you need it! Sometimes all we need is something to tell us what to draw, and we can do the rest!
100 Sketchbook Prompts
This list by The Art of Education is a bit more specific in the subjects to draw, which can be helpful when you’re really stuck. They’re also organized into categories, so you can decide if you want to draw a person, animal, object, or something more abstract.
Art Journal Ideas
This list by EWian contains a whole bunch of art journal prompts from single words to questions to ask yourself. There’s some really great ideas in this blog post, so have a look!
So that’s all for now, guys! I hope you’ve found this post helpful! I’ll be printing off these resources myself and putting them into my sketchbook so I’ll always have something to draw, even when I can’t think of anything on my own!
Thanks for stopping by, and till next time, keep creating!
